NetSuite is a cloud-based SaaS ERP running on Oracle databases, particularly aligned with small to medium enterprises.

It consists of 3 main applications: e-Commerce, Financials and CRM, although these components may be reported slightly differently.

NetSuite also has a One World version accommodating businesses operating across multiple countries and currencies and/or with multiple subsidiaries.

NetSuite was developed from Oracle Small Business (also known as NetLedger), a web-hosted accounting package. As such it is built around its accounting, orders and inventory credentials.

From a more granular perspective, NetSuite has numerous modules which make up each of these components, and customers can choose which modules to implement, with a cost incurred for each additional module beyond the standard NetSuite Enterprise implementation.
